Frequently Asked Questions
This is the same weekend as the Student Nationals
Unfortuntately this is the case, but whilst Conpulsion is part of GEAS – the University of Edinburgh Roleplaying Soceity – we know this convention has a broader appeal to the general gaming community.
When we originally booked the venue, the Student Nationals date had yet to be set and so, it is unfortunate these dates clash, but we personally think Edinburgh is prettier to visit and our venue is at the heart of a great city should people want to explore.
Last year there was nothing to do if you weren’t in a game.
We are well aware some people found a lack of things to do during the main gaming hours in previous years and have planned talks and workshops in these sessions too.
So you’ll have something to do at all times whilst you’re on site.
Can I bring kids along?
Children are welcome as long as they’re accompanied at all times by a responsible adult and pay attention to the age ratings on any games they choose to join. Under 12s MUST be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.
Child friendly games and events at Conpulsion are provided to make the convention a family friendly affair but parents are reminded they are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of their children.
Therefore we would like to remind parents that they, or another suitable adult, should attend these child-friendly events with their children and Conpulsion and its staff cannot be given the responsibility of child care.
