You’re a squad of Peacekeeper marines, assigned as the security detail of General Absen, as he attends these clandestine talks. Can you make sure he sets foot back on the dropship by morning? I Love the Corps is a published military science-fiction action-horror RPG set in the year of 2450 following squads of marines from the United Colonial Marine Corps. The game’s task resolution system involves adding a chosen ability score + bonuses and penalties to either the result of 1d6 or a passive score. Rather than rolling for every action, an ability total generated can be used repeatedly for similar actions. Gameplay splits largely into narrative scenes. Each narrative scene has 3 beats, and each PC gets one active ability (1d6 + plus modifiers) and passive ability (3+ modifiers) per beat. So choose wisely, as your totals oi the final beat of the scene dictate how it ends, and what position you’re in if thrown into an action scene! |
