Conpulsion 2025 features a selection of amazing guests from the worlds of role-playing, gaming and illustration. You can see and hear them at our panels and other activities over the weekend.

We’re delighted to welcome Ron Edwards. He is best known for games including Sorcerer, Trollbabe, and Spione, for founding and leading The Forge (2000-2012) in advocacy of independent publishing, for an always-in-progress body of theory, and for criticizing role-playing commerce and subculture. He was the second recipient of the Diana Jones Award in 2002. Ron will be in our keynote panels, running his What Went Wrong? workshop on Saturday evening, and running RPGs including Original RuneQuest.
Our Horror RPG Guest extraordinaire is Stuart Boon. He is best known for the award-winning “Cthulhu Britannica: Shadows Over Scotland” and his latest publication is “The Nineteenth Hole” in Chaosium’s Mansions of Madness: Vol 1 – Behind Closed Doors. Stuart will be on the Roots of Horror panel and running games over the weekend.
From the worlds of YouTube, roleplaying, wargaming and commentary on the tabletop industry we welcome Discourse. She will feature on our keynote panels and is looking forward to our Wargames room too. See her tabletop news focused YouTube channel Dungeons & Discourse and her wargame focused channel Discourse Minis.
Trevin York brings his experience of leading game dev teams for over 15 years, shipping games which bring together engaging entertainment and real-world impacts. While he’s mainly a game designer, he’s also a researcher, speaker, and author. Hear him at our Saturday and Sunday key note talks.
Gavin Inglis is an Edinburgh-based writer and teacher who writes for Chaosium, who are generously supporting our convention for their 50th Anniversary. Gavin one of their leading, and award winning, writers. You really want to be part of his Sunday workshop on Writing A Solo Adventure. You can also catch him at the the Roots of Horror panel and running RPGs over the weekend.

By no means least, we have a titan of the world of gaming illustration: Andy Hepworth. He has been illustrating media for over 2 decades and you’ll have seen his work from Games Workshop, White Wolf, The Onyx Path, AEG, Cubicle Seven, Catalyst, and Calliope among others. He’ll be running an illustration workshop and a Q&A and find him in the Trade Hall on Sunday, before finding him at the closing ceremony where you can ask him to sign your books and prints.
