Special Event – Contested

Brought to you by the Fast Stream Crisis Simulation Network is ‘Contested’; a toolset produced by the Defence Wargaming Centre within the Defence Science and Technology laboratories. This is, quite literally, a military grade simulation.

In Contested, participants take on the role and aims of eight countries in a variety of scenarios. You might participate as a global hegemon, trying to maintain the global order, a revisionist power trying to exploit melting icecaps for your own advantage, or you might be a small scrappy country just trying to survive. You might aim to fulfil your goals with boots on the ground or you might try and play peacemaker. Will you be able to meet your covert objectives?

Contested is a huge amount of fun and gives you the opportunity to engage with strategic thinking in an uncertain and ever-changing world. You do not need any experience of serious gaming or political knowledge to join the event.

Players: 5-10

Time: Sunday 10:15 – 12:45

Room: Munro
