Empty Kitchens Full Hearts addresses poverty and food insecurity in Edinburgh.
Everyone has the right to a healthy diet, and when people’s needs are met with dignity and care, people can better face challenges in their lives. We provide meal packs to 300 service users, with deliveries to people’s homes, community hubs and temporary accommodation.
We keep in-touch with service users through regular wellbeing calls, and help connect people to local services tailored to their real needs. Since we began in April 2020, we have turned surplus food into more than 2 million meals for people living in poverty across Edinburgh.
We are delighted to have been chosen as Conpulsion 2025’s charity of choice, and thank the Conpulsion team and attendees for their support in addressing poverty and food insecurity across Edinburgh.”
